Exit Slip: Sept 9th

One of the many thoughts I had while watching the interview was how unorthodox his method of teaching must have been, especially in the time period where content of the lesson is considered to be most important. His example of new activities that was inspired from students forging excuse slips was a cool story but I can also see him being ridiculed by other teachers for doing something that could be considered waste of time.

One comment that resonated with me was on his method in which he made connection between his personal experience with the high school students and the culture. As a teacher, we must be open to new cultures and be understanding even if we might not agree with it. Our opinion on it it must be reflected on our personal experience that students may also learn from it.
